Our Story
A lot of people fall in love with the idea of becoming a winemaker…
and a honeymoon is probably one of the most typical moments to have such fantasies!
Our journey to Billsboro Winery began in 1992 when we met as Peace Corps volunteers in Tunisia. We got married when we returned stateside and honeymooned in wine country. We knew we weren’t cut out for the suit-and-tie city life, but as we walked the vineyards, we knew what we wanted to do. Vinny left his job to become a winemaker’s apprentice on Long Island and began to learn the art of making wine.
The opportunity to purchase and operate Billsboro Winery arose in 2007. Since then, we have been living our dream, and we extend special thanks to the many people in the area who have helped us along the way.
Join us to taste refreshing, artfully crafted wines, relax on our deck, and enjoy the view. We promise you a memorable experience.
Cheers!

Our grower partners
Billsboro is eternally grateful to our grower partners for their steadfast dedication to producing ultra-premium wine grapes. Their west-facing vineyards are located just miles apart from each other in the heart of the so-called ‘banana belt’ microclimate along the southeast slope of Seneca Lake, an area that consistently records the most growing degree days in the Finger Lakes region. The steep-sided topography of these sites and proximity to the deep waters of Seneca Lake are ideal for growing high-quality classic European varieties.

Environmental Sustainability
Here at Billsboro, we try our best to minimize our impact on the environment. From buying sustainably farmed grapes to sourcing our electricity from a local solar farm to using compostable products at our events, we are conscious of our choices.
We are proud to work with growers and vineyards that adhere to sustainable viticultural practices, many of whom where certified by the first New York Sustainable Winegrowing initiative in the spring of 2023.
